Project Case

Jiyuan G327 Highway Structural Rehabilitation

On the G327 Jiyuan–Gongyi line in Henan Province, Beizhu's Continuous Cold Recycling Plant processed 100% RAP, achieving approximately 42% cost reduction versus conventional reconstruction while completing the project on schedule with zero waste transported off site.

Jiyuan G327 Highway Structural Rehabilitation

Project Background

The G327 Jiyuan–Gongyi line (Jixiong Expressway interchange to Gongyi boundary) in Henan Province experienced severe structural deterioration after years of heavy freight traffic, including extensive fatigue cracking, rutting, and base-layer damage. Conventional full-depth reconstruction was prohibitively expensive and would have required extended road closure.

Challenge

The rehabilitation needed to minimise traffic disruption on an important national corridor, complete within a compressed summer construction window, and achieve cost savings over conventional methods while meeting structural design standards.

Solution

Beizhu deployed its WPCB400 Continuous Cold Recycling Plant to perform in-plant foam asphalt cold recycling of 100% reclaimed asphalt pavement (RAP). The foamed-bitumen process was augmented with a 2% cement pre-blending stage for early-strength gain, ensuring rapid trafficking. Continuous production at 280–320 t/h kept paver and rollers fully fed without interruption.

Results

The project was completed on schedule within the construction window. Compared with conventional full-depth reconstruction, total construction cost was reduced by approximately 42% and CO₂ emissions fell by approximately 35%. 100% of the old pavement material was recycled on site, with zero waste transported off site.
